he Town Council is responsible for the historic Town Hall at the top of the High St overlooking Gold Hill. Three rooms are available for hire for your function, table sale or fundraiser:

- The Council Chamber

Plus VAT as applicable for Commercial and Private Hire
Explanatory note: one session is one of the following:
- 8.00 am to 12.00 pm (4 hrs)
- 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm (4 hrs)
- 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm (4 hrs)
All day session 8.00 – 5.00 pm (9 hrs)
The following discounts apply to the above session rates, only one discount is permitted per booking.
- Shaftesbury based registered charities and Shaftesbury non-profit making, community based organisations – 50% discount.
- National registered charities – 25% discount.
- Regular users (minimum of 10 pre-booked sessions) – 10% discount.
Discounts 1 and 2 are not applicable to any event where individuals benefit from the sale of any item.

The Town Council would like to remind hirers of the hall, that you are responsible for removing all rubbish from the premises at the end of your hire.
As a business the Council is charged for the removal of its rubbish so your co-operation in this will help keep down the cost of hiring the hall.
